October: setbacks and progress

At the end of September I got a letter that I needed to pay approximately €300 for taxes in 2018.

At first, I was confused but called immediately for clarification. I had already paid for my taxes and it had been considerably less money. But it seemed there had been two letters with almost the same amount for the same year. One had been the initial calculation and the other definitive calculation and both needed to be paid. I was very disappointed. Because I had thought to be done.

At the end, I paid the whole amount in one payment. I hadn’t budgeted this amount so I was kind demotivated to even post about it. But these things happen and all you can do is learn about it.

The lessons I learned:

  • Always check the description. Don’t just assume!
  • Don’t get demotivated. It only gives chance for more mistakes.

What has gotten you demotivated from your debt free journey?
